I started in the web development business over ten years ago and I have set up many ecommerce websites for my clients. These websites sold a variety of products, from hair loss reversal items, foot care products, arthritis therapies, beauty products, children’s toys, seminar bookings and so on. While I was organising the design and development of these websites I was constantly trying to think of something I could sell online myself. Starting a part-time business can give you a sense of freedom

Working in a job that you don’t particularly enjoy can be soul-destroying. You might even quite like your job but you have the feeling that it isn’t heading anywhere, and that can be equally demoralising. The feeling of that’s all you’ve got can lead to a sense of desperation, which can spiral down into depression. [...]

When I came up with the idea for this post I hadn’t noticed the built in double meaning in the title. Questions about the best state for business could be looking at which US states are best for doing business in, as outlined in the recent Chief Executive survey. By the way, Texas came out [...]

Writing website content for effective online business marketing

I have been developing websites for small businesses since the late 1990s, and it never ceases to amaze me how keen business people are to talk about what their website will look like, and how reluctant they are to talk about what information will actually be presented to their prospective customers. I usually have to [...]
